山下智久 ~ 山P

山下智久 (Yamashita Tomohisa)

Recently I'm crazy over 山P. I started to like him after watching それは、突然嵐のよろに in January this year. After that, I've kind of lost touch on him… but still keep a lookout for his news. Recently, I started to notice his presence again because of NEWS' new song チェリシュ (Cherish) and his Year 2002 drama ランチの女王 (Lunch Queen).

山P is not the typical type of guy I like. Not 180cm tall and not a guy who knows how to play guitar (hmm... maybe he knows?). But he's tall (174cm) and slim enough (54kg) to fit my requirements. Well, the fact I like about him is his style, his laziness kind of voice and attitude. He's the second person whom I think has a laziness voice (the other is 周星馳). And though he's 19 years old (turning 20 on 9th this month), he's quite matured. This was what I gathered from watching the 03-04 NEWs concert vcd (he was only 18 years old then). Among the 8 of them, he's the only one who is 成熟 & 冷靜. Probably that's why he is the leader of the group.

I managed to retrieve a September 2003 issue of ポポロ which has NEWs information. That was the time when NEWs was formed. 山P stated that the reason why he joined Johnny’s Company was because he envied タッキーand 光一くん and wanted to be like them . So he sent his own photo to Johnny’s Company when he was 小6. I’m really impressed by what he did. At such a young age (12 years old), he knew what he want. Having a dream is good. Pursuing the dream is another story. 山P wanted to be in the limelight, so he took action to pursue his dream. 彼は勇気があります! I must really learn from him.

Another reason maybe why I like him is because 山P is currently a second year undergraduate at 明治大学 の商学部. Japanese artistes who joined the entertainment industry at young age normally stopped their education at High School (especially Johnny’s artists). But 山P managed to enter into a university and study despite his busy schedule. His reason for studying business is to help his dad’s business in future. So filial and mature!

我想我和 山P有緣. I saw him at Kinki Kids concert on 30/12/2004. NEWs appeared for a while (really a while) at the concert to promote Johnny's Countdown Concert on 31/12/2004. We don’t expect NEWs to be there. But it was really a good surprise! My eyes just stick to 山P the moment I knew he was there. NEWs came to the area where I was seated to sing their song. Though I’m seated very far away, I managed to tip toe and looked at him when he talked and sang (of course also shouted his name!). Very far away, but it’s still unbelievable for me to be able to see 山P and be at the same venue at the same time. The feeling was great actually.

Till now I’m still puzzled why I’m crazy over 山P. Anyway, having some motivation for me is great. Spice up my life! I just prayed that NEWs will have concerts end of this year and I can go to watch it! Sad thing for me now is they’re having Spring concerts and will end by early May…

Well, as long as I have a dream, I want to pursue it, no matter what! Coz I only live once.. 山P also share this same sentiment as me ^_^

谭咏麟 (Alan Tam)

I watched Alam Tam and Hackken Lee's concert '左麟右李' on 16 March, Wednesday. This was the second time I watched it. The first time I saw their concert was in Year 2003.

This time round there were alot of laughter. Entertaining! As usual, they liked to talk about the gossips at the entertainment scene. Alan and Hackken also sang quite a number of old songs that I liked. Quite alot of people shouted for Hackken's name this time round. Whereas Alan.. er.. I didn't hear anyone shouted his name.

Come to think of it, the first concert I ever went to was Alan's concert. That was in Year 1987. My god sister is (?) a big fan of his. She will always buy one pair of ticket and get someone to accompany her to go. I remember I sat in the first few rows, the price was around $50-60 then. I still recalled one of Alan's fan asked him to give her a mouth to mouth kiss. Alan was embarrassed and said will only kiss her face.

That was how I started to watch concerts and buy albums. So I always have this thought that even though I'm not Alan's fan, I must thank him for bringing me to the world of concerts and albums.

And the strange thing is I kept buying his albums during my secondary school days... Well, he's just one singer whom I think album is worth buying in the 1980s.

殺! 殺! 殺!

I broke my record yesterday by killing 5 or 6 mosquitoes by my own hands within a day in my house. Those mosquitoes even dare to chase after me for my blood. So daring!

Can't stand it but I got to kill all of them. A few of them played hide and seek with me. So when I killed them, I was so happy and commented "同我鬥,你未死過!" Haha, I'm kinda of crazy already.

I managed to kill one of them before I went to sleep. It hide from me for a few hours. Then the last one, I killed at 00.30am! I heard it flying around me, after I came back from toilet. It must have slipped into my territory when I entered into the bed covered by mosquito net. So without hesitation, I quickly switch on the light and haunt for it. Luckily I found it on the net and killed with my own hands again.

I wonder when the upgrading will complete.. so that I can have my peaceful days again...Sad news is that the upgrading just started, so I have to compete with the mosquitos for at least another 2 years. No mater what, I will just 殺個遍甲不留.

My favourite japanese actors (Part II)

Another of my favourite actor is 豊川悦司(Toyokawa Etsushi). I first saw him at 愛して言いてくれ in 1995 (top rated drama in that year). He acted as a mute in the drama. His acting captured my heart. In fact, when I watched his next show after 愛して言いてくれ , I'm not used to his voice. Just found his voice funny.

I also watched his another drama "ラフーストリ” where he acted with 中山美穂. In this drama, he played a writer with a weird personnel. Quite fun acutally, to see him stern and abit comical in the drama.

I've also watched a few of his movies. But I guess my favourite is still his role in 愛して言いてくれ. I wonder when I can see him in such a good drama again...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

First saw 堤 真一 (Tsutsumi Shinichi) in "やまとなでしこ." His role was a 腳踏實地 intelligent man who took over his family's business and became a fishmonger. Kind of attractive role, which most females will like. Lost touch of him for a while till I bought "ピュア" (earlier drama than "やまとなでしこ"). He also acted as a honest person. Hmm.. perhaps his face looks like those honest type of guys?

Then came "GOOD LUCK!!" where he played the supervisor role in ANA. Off course, his stern look is scary. In fact, I felt that his acting is much better than 木村拓也. Even my dad said his acting is good.

So after all the stern roles he played, I finally saw him being comical in "ビギナー" His role as usual is stern looking. But then sometimes quite comical. It was really interesting to see him being so comical and I'm really impressed. Can't stop laughing. Till now, I like this show because of him and also the chemistry between the 7 actors/actresses.

Actually I don't know much about him and his background. Till sometime ago, I found from website that he started his acting career in the 1980s and participated in a number of stage plays. Kind of a full time actor. Unlike some who venture into different areas.

Now come to think of it, the above 2 actors and the other 2 whom I've mentioned earlier are really full time actors. Probably that's why their actings are solid.
