This movie was released on July 2003 and is currently showing in Taiwan. It was based a true life story of a stray dog which became the guard dog of a high school. The dog was very popular among the students. When the dog passed away, all the students cried and organized a funeral for it. This news was quite 轟動 in Japan and was broadcast by the media.

妻夫木聡 won the best actor award for his role in this movie. I tried to search for the dvd while I was at Osaka but failed to find it. Kind of disappointed. Will try to source for it again.

I don’t understand why Singapore don’t show such good movies. There are a few good japan movies which were very popular and had been shown in Taiwan. Unfortunately we do not have the 福氣 to watch the movies here... quite sad. I have to go Japan and buy the dvd instead. Really give up hopes on the cinema management here… and yet they still want to raise the movie ticket price. Ridiculous!
