The Southern Ridges

I went to the The Southern Ridges last Saturday with Kevin, Siew Chin & Sis, and Siew Chin's sis friend. This was a photo outing, organised by the Chairman, Kevin.

We started from World Trade, walked up to Mount Faber Park, then through Telok Blangah Hill Park at 8.30am. It took us around 2 hours for the whole journey and we ended almost to HortPark. We had to end it as it started raining and Siew Chin was tired too.

The two bridges are so so. I don't find them particularly beautiful. Surprising there are many people who walk the Southern Ridges. There were alot of activities at Mount Faber. Students running, people exercising, cycling etc. When we reached the bridge across Henderson Road, there are so many people! There were families having pinic (or rest) at the bridge. I managed to spot a Japanese family and asked them if I can take their photos in Japanese. We started to converse in Japanese. Well, my Japanese was not that fluent when I talked to them. Probably because I was not familar with them. I took photos of the kids. Hmm, in the end, I still enjoy taking potraits rather than those bridges.

The funny incident is that I took the photos of cyclist cycling along Mount Faber. There were 2 individual cyclists (came at different time). One dressed in blue and one in pink. It was a challenge to take them as they cycle very fast. The third time we saw another cyclist, we realised it was the same person in blue. (^_^;)

I didn't manage to take nice photos but it was good to have some fresh air in the morning.
